Oh yes indeed Brooke. It is a very huge prawn that used to be a symbol for the sea food co-op at Ballina. The hardware store had to refurbish it when they took over the site.
Australia does "big" things so well. I always laugh at the big merino in Goulburn. I see from your comment that this prawn is in Ballina which I've been to a few times but not for years. I wonder how long it's been htere as I don't recall seeing it.

I love our Aussie 'BIG' things. Great shot, reminds me of all the other big stuff I've seen, like the Big Pinapple, the Big Bannnana and the other Crustaceans the Big Knight, and our local one is a Big Guy and Antlantis' Neptune. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
