Phew, glad that June has left the building. It has been a right stinker, let me tell you. And crazily wet here in sunny Brisbane. Normally winter is our dry season, but we've had heaps of rain over autumn and winter this year. The backyard never seems to dry out. And the local wildlife is a bit miserable about the whole thing :=)
(See below for the evidence.) She stayed there all day, trying to sleep. At one point, we heard this loud thud - the poor baby had fallen asleep and fell off the beam! She came back a week later, to rest up for the day. Thank heavens she was okay after her fall.

DeleteI love those ceramic bowls Mr. P got you for your birthday! Stay warm and dry over there...there is absolutely nothing worse than a cold, rainy day. I think the local critters would agree, too.

DeleteYou had a possum, we had armadillos in our yard! Our weather in June if the worst, but things will become more tolerable as we move to the end of July. DeleteWas sorry to read about the poor possum Sherry (and your weather). We've had a wet summer here so far in Scotland (typical Scottish weather). My family in Melborne aren't too positive about possum's as may years ago one got into their house and cause a lot of damage!

ReplyDeleteWe haven't seen possums at home for ages now, probably because we have neighbours with dogs all around us. Herbie is such a great source of herbs. I'm in Cairns another wet day, unusual for Winter here too. So sorry to hear July means surgery for you, it's never something to look forward to, but being in Brisbane you should have the best care. Hope your recovery goes well my friend, and that you aren't too unwell now as a consequence.
