Deletei got the bowl online- from Tableking.com.au. they were very prompt and the bowl arrived safely. the salt is wonderful; i have sprinkled it on top of home made sausage rolls, and on the roasted capsicums i made and on scrambled eggs. it is gorgeous.
Oh, lots of lovely things in your kitchen this month- Sherry.
ReplyDeletehi rachel

DeleteSherry, I enjoyed visiting your kitchen. I just did my first ever post for In My Kitchen and am having a lovely time visiting all the participants. It's such fun peeking into the kitchens of other food bloggers and discovering new blogs.
ReplyDeletehow lovely to see you here jean. It is always great to see new bloggers for IMK; well, i have only been doing it for 8 months myself:) It is wonderful fun isn't it getting a peek into lots of other kitchens? Happy new year.
DeleteI'm googling the food styling book right now. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeletei have only had a brief look Clare but it seems really useful. i can't wait to get into it more deeply.
DeleteHi Sherry, your Christmas sounds perfect... how nice to retreat that way! Love, love, love your Mason & Cash mixing bowl! And swoon over the enamelware, which I've been fond of since childhood. I heard Matt Preston talking on RN about his cookbook, it sounded fabulous... but, lordy, I don't need any more cookbooks, know what I mean! : ) That food styling one has caught my eye. Thanks for the peek into your world... happy new year!
ReplyDeletehi lizzy
Deletethanks for visiting. i adore the mixing bowl, and love the enamel. i know what you mean about cookbooks- i have too many! but I love them to bits. happy new year.
Escape is a great idea but I'd miss the cooking and the leftovers. I want a holiday AFTER Christmas :)

I love the idea of escaping the bustle of the season and setting up shop somewhere else. I may just steal this next time I'm feeling overwhelmed :)
ReplyDeleteI do love those little hedgehogs and that flavoured salt looks amazing. Happy New Year to you! x
hi lisa
Deleterunning away is such fun! i recommend it every now and then. the bowl is fab and the salt is just amazing. i do love a good smoked salt. cheers for the new year. x
There can never be too much Falcon Ware! And I so love those Mason and Cash bowls but I know they're going to be too heavy for us to handle. Look forward to hearing what you think about the Annabel book - she's a lovely lady and a great chef! Have a fabulous 2015! :)
ReplyDeletehi celia
Deleteyou are so right. Falconware rules:) The hedgehog bowl is surprisingly light, unlike the Hairy Bikers' bowl i have which is stoneware and weighs a ton. (I still love it) I do love Annabel- she is the best.
have a great 2015.
I certainly recommend the 'going away for Christmas' approach - far more relaxing! I hope you had a good time amid the whirlwind though and your kitchen is certainly looking great. What a lovely selection of books!
ReplyDeletehi kari
Deletethe cookbooks are great and i am looking forward to trying out lots of recipes. very lucky this xmas.
fantastic stuff - I really want your hedgehog bowl and your smoked seasoning - just in case you get tired of having them about :-) and I love your other new pieces of cookware. and I think I could do with a food styling book - hope you find it helpful and fun
ReplyDeletehi johanna i am addicted to the smoked salt already and happily chuck it into everything. and i love my hedgehogs. i must get around to reading more of the food styling book. it is so interesting- she even tells you how to cook a particular dish so it looks right!
Deleteoh I love it all! The enamelware, the books, the little bowl. I've been eyeing off that food styling book for a while now. Might need to pop it higher on my list
ReplyDeletehi Mel
