I think part of my fascination comes via hubby's work as a designer, and also from my great love of lighthouses:=) Maybe one of my Scottish ancestors was a lighthouse keeper? Who knows? I just know I love lights (and lighthouses), and will keep snapping away while I wait for my coffee or dinner to appear.
yep another of my weird, wonky doodles:) |
Pretty fabulous going out with Mrs Pickings, and we get to study things above. She has a real eye for these details, which i appreciate being a Building Designer. Cafe owners must wonder what we are doing, not only taking shots of food but the ceiling as well!
ReplyDeletethanks Mr P.!
DeleteHehe I love lighting too! It can really make or break the atmosphere in a restaurant! :D
ReplyDeletethey are very inventive these days with beautiful lights.
DeleteFun post Sherry. Only last night, the first photo I took at the Fox Hotel was of some fabulous chandeliers. Great food too so get yourself down there!
ReplyDeleteOk Fiona. I love a good chandelier and some good food:))
DeleteSuch an impressive variety of light fittings. I do love to look at the light fittings in modern restaurants - there's always something new and different to see in the way they're using lighting xx
ReplyDeletethey are pretty spiffy these days. i love to check them out.
DeleteI always notice light fittings as well and appreciate design. My favourites are anything industrial :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jen
DeleteI just love the one at the piggery!
oops! I mean Jem:)
DeleteSo do you have unusual lights at home too? I love these!
ReplyDeletei think our lights are fairly stock standard, tho there are lots of different ones. we have a 1940s house so they have to fit in with that.
