My Sunday Photo 6 December 2015

a lovely photo of my mum when she was about 12 or 13

My mum  died many years ago on the 8th December.  She was only 46, with so much more life to live.  Life is not always fair.  It is lovely to see her here full of youth and hope, with all her life ahead of her.  Every day that I am older than the age she died, I am grateful to still be around:=)   Who knows what the future holds?

  2. Life can be so cruel, 46 is horribly young. This is a lovely way to remember her.

  4. Your mum is looking relaxed Sherry.

Must admit I was quite shocked to see Burt Reynolds on The Johnny Ross Show last night. I still think of him as quite young and virile but of course he's 79 now and very frail.

My mum was 58 and I wonder ...

  5. Hi Sherry, so sorry that you lost your Mum at such a young age. I turn 46 next week, so your words struck a chord with me. A very good reason why we should live for today and never take anything for granted. It's a lovely photo and thank you for sharing it.

  10. What a beautiful photo of your mum and I am so sorry that you lost her so young. My dad also passed away on the 8th Decemeber, six years ago, and the build-up to Christmas is always tinged with sadness although I try to focus on all the many happy memories more than the sad ones of those last days. I hope you have lots of happy memories of your mum to ease the sadness that I'm sure must come at this time of year for you too. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful photo x

  13. I saw a picture of my mom when she was on her 20s and I look like her a lot! I assume you also look like your mom, who was so pretty in the photo, by the way. :)
