torso in Townsville QLD |
Last July we headed up to Townsville in Far North Queensland for our niece's wedding. We were pleasantly surprised by the café scene, the Art Gallery and bookstores. As we wandered around one sunny day, we came across this window. This delightful silvery gal was I believe advertising a sex shop which was beside a lawyers' office. Hubby and I had a bit of a laugh about that. Oh, did I mention there was even some hipster rudeness in the cafés? Hilarious fun!

Hehe looks like they're getting ready for Mardi Gras! :D
ReplyDeleteIndeed:)
DeleteYes, Townsville's cafe scene is really developing. Hmmm, I wonder how many passerbyer's got a giggle from that gorgeous gal!
ReplyDeleteSooo funny next to the lawyers.
DeleteMy My - that's raunchy! When I used to go to Townsville for work, we used to refer to it as Brownsville. I feel CSA didn't showcase Townsville at its best so will one day go back and take a 2nd look. Gosh you're a stayer Sherry - 20 letters down, six to go!
ReplyDeleteThanks Fiona. Yes Townsville was a very pleasant surprise. Pretty darn trendy in fact.
DeleteMr P found Townsville to be a bit of a rising gem too. It is a bit hot for me, but the people seem driven to make it a star in spite of its economic difficulties in recent times. The cafe scene is really amazing. Yes we loved the silver girl!
ReplyDeleteEsp next to the lawyers' office:)
DeleteI also was surprised at some of the places to eat in Townsville. July is a great time to go. Last time I was there was for work in Nov...and I wanted to die from the heat!
