A Roadtrip And A Museum

As regular readers will remember, Mr P. designed a museum in Murgon, a small country town here in Queensland.  He went along for the opening night in October last year, but as I had only just had my eye op. I stayed home.  So fast forward to January, and off we tootled on our little roadtrip to check it out.

some scary ancient-type of beastie

that's the name of the museum

Murgon is about three hours west of us here in Brisbane, so we took a leisurely drive last weekend.  Mr P. had a chinwag with Leo who is the secretary of the Creative Country Association that oversees the museum.  Leo was very proud of the Museum and how it is bringing tourists into their little town.

you can see my reflection as I check out a few fossils

  12. Murgon is so fortunate to have a museum of this calibre Sherry. Mr. P has done a great job, all of the artwork is also of a high standard. We love visiting museums when we travel. So good you could finally see it. I'll keep it in mind when we are down that way again. Found your post at the bottom of the follow.it email again, now I know. That's where mine are too when I publish, not the most obvious to find, but so be it.

  16. This looks like a beautifully designed museum and I think he did a wonderful job. The signage is so clear and explanatory and the outdoor courtyard with the beasties is wonderful -- I keep thinking how much my little guys would like this! He did a magnificent job and I'm glad you finally got to see it.

  22. Love the road trip vibes in this post! Murgon museum adventure sounds intriguing. Can't wait to hear more about the museum itself. Is it all about those ancient-looking beasties or are there more surprises in store? And did you conquer your initial museum-opening-night fear? Spill the beans!

    1. hi Raymund
I don't want to be rude but I'd love it if you wrote your own comments rather than use AI. I had no opening night fear :=) I was just ill.
